Three Dimensional Miniaturized Optical Surface Mounted Device (TRIMO-SMD) is a unique technology which enables, like surface mount devices (SMD) 20 years ago in electronics, a flexible, low cost, but highly accurate mounting of micro optical components. TRIMO-SMD Technology is well adapted to prototyping and production.
Since 2003, the technology is applied in a series production and for the fabrication of prototypes or of small series.
Over the years, this technology demonstrated excellent throughput and reliability in the industrial production environment.
TRIMO-SMD has been tested for aerospace applications up to the ESA TRL4 and partially up to the TRL5 maturity levels.
