Leica MobileMatriX now supports the new Leica Viva GNSS Sensors

(Heerbrugg, 27 May 2010) Leica Geosystems is pleased to announce version 4.0 of Leica MobileMatriX. This version supports the new Leica Geosystems Viva GNSS series, as well as L1 and L1/L2 Post-Processing, Microsoft Windows 7 and many other improvements.

Leica MobileMatriX, together with Leica Geosystems instruments, is the most advanced solution for mobile GIS applications in combination with GNSS, Total Stations, Levels, Digital Cameras, and Laser Range Finders on the market today.

Support of Leica Viva GNSS
Leica MobileMatriX v4.0 continues to be the number one choice for multi-sensor mobile GIS solutions. This release contains new instrument drivers to support the latest Leica Geosystems GNSS instruments. Using Leica Viva GNSS allows the tracking of all satellites today and tomorrow, ensuring maximum performance in the field. Leica MobileMatriX provides full integration of the Viva GNSS, including full sensor configuration.

Post-Processing of GNSS raw data directly in the field
Leica MobileMatriX further opens a new functionality for field users being capable to post-process GNSS raw data directly in the field. Two new options are released, a L1 post-processing and an L1/L2 post-processing option. GNSS raw data can be simply logged in the field, downloaded and post-processed in the same application.

Microsoft Windows 7 capable
Leica MobileMatriX and Leica MobileMatriX on ArcGIS Edition are updated to support Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit only).

Leica MobileMatriX v4.0 is ready to deliver. All Leica MobileMatriX users with a valid Customer Care Package can update to Leica MobileMatriX v4.0 free of charge.
