"Carving as-built plans with a Laser Cannon," and "RE&C pinpoints success with Laser System at Detroit Edison," are two articles from the winter and spring of 2000 that cover Raytheon's use of 3D laser scanning on Detroit Edison's Monroe Power Plant in Michigan. "Carving as-built plans with a Laser Cannon," was published in the January 2000 issue of Microstation Manager and "RE&C pinpoints success with Laser System at Detroit Edison," was published in the March/April issue of The Rec&Cord. Cyra Technologies (now Leica Geosystems HDS) also put together a case study on the project.
