We consider training for young skilled workers to be a benefit to our company and also part of the company’s social responsibility. Our goal is to turn young people into technically competent, independent, and productive skilled workers. That is why Leica Geosystems is a core member of the association “Lernzentren LfW Lehrlinge für die Wirtschaft”. The learning centers are the leading training association in the Swiss mechanical engineering, electrical, and metals industry.
Each year, about 25 apprentices start their basic training in the learning centers in Heerbrugg and Baden. The following perennial professional training is undertaken by Leica Geosystems. We train apprentices in the following vocations:
- Automation Engineering
- Business Administration
- Electronic Engineering
- Information Technology
- Logistic
- Mechanical Engineering
- “Polymechaniker” - General Mechanics
